First year of the EU Civilian Training Activities (EUCTI) project resulted in a successful completion of five training courses! Throughout the year EUCTI Consortium with its partners provided training courses for 57 participants (32 females and 25 males) from 22 countries. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and related restrictions, courses were still largely implemented in an online format. Hopefully this will change in 2022 when courses are expected to be held in hybrid and potentially also in residential format.
Participants came from five EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) missions, while participants from four other organisations working in the field of civilian crisis management, namely OSCE, UNODC, NATO and Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, were included as well. Implementing partners invited 36 experts to share their experiences and know-how in the fields of digital communication, intercultural communication, security sector reform and training of trainers.
The EUCTI Consortium has ambitious plans for 2022 and we will work very hard towards completing them, so many more participants can use and share their newfound knowledge to improve their mission mandates.
