EUCTI Training Announcement: Training of Trainers

26/04/2022

Even the most experienced trainers in the field of civilian crisis management need to refresh their knowledge and sharpen their mentoring skills. Much depends on this process of continuous learning. Well prepared and experienced experts can more effectively transfer their knowledge to their colleagues who rely on specialised high quality training activities to more efficiently complete their professional tasks. Experience sharing goes both ways and greatly contributes to successful crisis management, stabilisation, and peace support mission mandates.

As a project that offers need-based training courses, EUCTI’s training catalogue includes a course that targets exactly the aforementioned need, a Training of Trainers (ToT) course. Its key objective is to build in-mission capacities for training purposes, enhance the ability of missions to adapt to the steadily changing capacity-building requirements of international peace operations and to strengthen in-mission capability to deliver high quality training.

This edition of the ToT will be organized by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA) between 3 and 6 May in an online format, via Microsoft Teams. Up to 15 participants mostly from EUCAP Sahel Mali will join the training. They are all experts in the field, conducting various training activities and coaching sessions in their working environment.

Four-day training is designed to strengthen participants’ didactical and methodological skills in designing and delivering training courses with the aim to build local capacities in relevant areas as well as to help them to develop their individual skill set to the best extent.
