PRESS RELEASE: Part 1 of the EUCTI Training on Security Sector Reform Successfully Concluded

The five-day training on Security Sector Reform, which has been implemented by our Consortium member the Austrian Study Centre For Peace And Conflict Resolution tailored for the European Union Capacity Building Mission in Somalia and extended to other international organisations in Somalia has concluded its activities for the first training group! The hybrid training’s first part was conducted online for all participants on 17 and 18 of November and was followed by a three-day residential training taking place between 22 and 24 of November in Kenya’s capital city of Nairobi. The first group of training participants took part in a variety of lectures, which included topics such as transitional justice, good governance and maritime law.

We would like to express our gratitude to ASPR Schlaning for organising and implementing this training as well as extend our gratitude to all the lecturers for their substantive contributions. Moreover, we would like to wish the training participants success in their civilian crisis management endeavors.

The residential module of this training will resume in Nairobi for the second training group between 26 and 28 of November.
