Between 7 and 9 September Pristina, Kosovo, hosted our Slovenian partners from the Centre for European Perspective (CEP). They delivered the three-day-long Volume II of the Digital Communications in Civilian Crisis Management training.
Training content was delivered to 21 participants, communication experts and staff of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX Kosovo), the European Union in Kosovo, KFOR, the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, the United Nations Kosovo Team, and the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).
Top experts shared their state-of-the-art knowledge on message development and storytelling through photography and videography and on verifying information with the help of open-source tools. Furthermore, they honed their rhetorical skills and learned how to engage influencers to reach bigger and more diverse audiences. They had the chance to apply this newly gained knowledge to the Kosovo specifics. Practice-oriented lectures led to the final simulation where the participants had to use what they have learned to complete the mission given to them.
It goes without saying all participants successfully completed their tasks, exchanged many stories, took many photos, and most importantly, tickled the creative part of their brain. With its help they will undoubtedly become great digital communicators.
