With the successful conclusion of the 11th and 12th training courses, Training of Trainers, and Presenters’ Workshop, the 2022 training calendar is complete. Almost 30 members of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX Kosovo) participated first in the online part of the training and then in the in-person part in Pristina, Kosovo, facilitated by our Italian partner, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna (SSSA).
Both training courses were advanced as the target audience were subject matter experts, delivering training and presentations as a part of their regular work obligations. Online part of the training was delivered for both groups simultaneously, aiming at refreshing and building their theoretical skills. For the in-person, more practical part, groups were divided into two – Training of Trainers (ToT) was conducted between 7 and 9 November, while Presenters’ Workshop was a one-day training on 8 November.
Through individual, partner and group presentations the participants practiced their delivery skills, and played with their creativity in using different teaching techniques and learning tools. They learned how to manage different, sometimes even difficult training environments. The trainers also put a lot of emphasis on giving and receiving both positive and negative feedback from peers, and overall played a big part in making the trainees at ease, encouraging their creativity.
Both Training of Trainers and the new activity, Presenter’s Workshop, were designed to encourage the participants to find their own training and presenting style even if they have already performed as trainers in the past. The key objective for the training courses, transfer of skills and knowledge for building in-mission capacities to deal with quickly changing mission requirements, was therefore fulfilled.
