First training of the 2022 training season is successfully behind us! Congratulations to the excellent trainers from the Clingendael Institute, who poured all their expertise into making this training as interactive and engaging as possible despite working in an online environment.
Training on Negotiation and Mediation in Crisis Management Missions took place online between 15 and 17 February. It was designed for the personnel of the EU Advisory Mission in Ukraine (EUAM Ukraine) while participants from OSCE and NATO joined the group as well. Even though the training was designed to be carried out in a residential format in Kyiv, participants were still able to take part in online interactive exercises and skills-enhancing activities, such as role plays, case studies, and even a large simulation in delegations. Such activities helped them better grasp the theoretical concepts and definitions of mediation and negotiation, while they also tested them and their knowledge in a safe environment.
Last but not least, a heartfelt congratulations also to the participants from EUAM Ukraine, OSCE and NATO for the completion of the course and their dedication throughout this 3-day training. May they use these newly gained connections and knowledge to the best extent.
